Cinnamon Spiced Old Fashioned with Bourbon

  • 2 ounces of bourbon of your choice
  • 1/2 oz cinnamon spiced simple syrup (see instruction below)
  • 2 dashes of Angostura aromatic bitters
  • 2 dashes of Angostura orange bitters
  • Cinnamon stick


  1. Add bourbon, cinnamon simple syrup, aromatic bitters, orange bitters (i.e. all ingredients except cinnamon stick) into a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake until chilled.
  3. Strain into rocks glasses over large ice cube (square or round).
  4. Garnish with cinnamon stick

Instructions: Cinnamon Spiced Simple Syrup (makes 1 pint or 16 fl oz)

  1. Combine two (2) cups of sugar and one (1) cup of water into small sauce pan and bring to a simmer
  2. Add in one (1) cinnamon stick and let mixture simmer for 10-12 minutes (or until the sugar dissolves and the syrup thickens slightly)
  3. Remove contents from heat
  4. Let cinnamon steep and contents cool before using or storing
  5. Store in fridge after use
